The ten-minute walk after dinner
A short loop round the block is an easy habit to start, and it gets you out of the kitchen once the plates are done.

A walk after dinner needs no kit beyond shoes you don't mind getting wet. Pick a loop that brings you back to your own door in about ten minutes, so there's never a question of how far to go.
In winter, a small torch or a reflective band helps on streets without much lighting. Keep a waterproof on the hook by the door.
Some people walk with a partner or a neighbour, which makes it harder to skip. Others put a podcast on and treat it as the one quiet part of the evening.
