What to keep in the fridge when you're not hungry

On low-appetite days, the food that gets eaten is the food that needs no cooking. Stock the fridge for those days.

On a low day, dinner is often whatever's already in the fridge and doesn't need a pan. It helps to have a shelf of things that fit that description.

Boiled eggs keep in the fridge for about a week in their shells. Cooked chicken, a tub of plain yoghurt, a block of cheese, hummus and a bag of washed salad cover most of the ground.

Put the ready things at eye level and the raw ingredients lower down. Then the yoghurt is the first thing you see at nine in the evening.
